Well summer is almost done. It was a good summer. It went really fast.
And thus begins another cross country season, as well as allergy season. Hopefully the former goes well, and hopefully the latter is very short.
I'm getting senior pictures taken a week from today.
It's my birthday two weeks from yesterday. Maybe i'll have a party. But what better way to party on your 18th birthday than having the first full day of school? Exciting, isn't it?
La Dispute plays saturday night at the Ground Floor (Res Life) at 8pm with a couple other bands. I'm probably gonna go, so if you are interested, let me know.
First of all, no, I am not quitting Second Sight. Rumors are bad.
I've got some stuff to think about and some hard decisions to make in the coming weeks, so if you could pray for me or think about me (since you don't know what i'm talking about) that would be helpful.
I need counseling. gosh
So the VBS is done. It went really really well. Everything came together nicely and all of our hard work payed off. Trust me, there's a lot more than you think that goes into planning a vbs. And it was a ton of fun on top of that. Getting to know those little kids was so cool. They are so funny and have amazing personalities. And they look up to you all the time. I really felt like we did make an impact on these kids, and hopefully the church that we did it at will continue to have a vbs in the coming years.
So I guess Team Rojo has officially come to an end. But hopefully it's a beginning. For each of us individually to become young leaders in our community and make an impact on people wherever we are. (or something like that)
Well here are the bloopers from vbs filming. And if you haven't seen the actual thing yet, the intro and all 4 episodes are in the post below. Check them out!
"Bach gave us God's Word. Mozart gave us God's laughter. Beethoven gave us God's fire. God gave us music that we might pray without words."
"Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks, and invents." - Ludwig von Beethoven
